A person I know has a visit visa valid till end of May 2022. Can he enter Canada in march and can he stay in Canada for 6 months after entry date or till visa expiry.

The date printed on your passport as the end date means that you can enter Canada until that date and you can stay for the period that the visa officer allow you to stay
