Hi,

My paretns visitor visa expired recently when their passport expired. We thought of doing supervisa this time and did upfront medicals in Dec2025 (but not filed the supervisa application yet). My dad was asked to do sputum test (no history of TB but he had cold/cough during test and that probably got caught up). He is presently waiting for his sputum results. Since the results will not be ready for another 2months, is it better to apply a visitor visa instead? The reason is I want to bring them in summer as they are old 74,76 yrs respectively). Given the current long timelines for supervisa, wondering if this is better. In the past 5years, they have visited canada thrice each time for about 1year as we were navigating through some personal difficulties. But they established their ties back in india by going back and staying atleast 6months to 1 year before making their next trip.

Pls let me know

Sure they can apply. Staying for 3 years in a 5 year period and only leaving for 6 months to a year isn't showing ties to return at all.
