Im a french citizen who currently lives in beirut lebanon, I was a student at the american university of beirut but withdrew from the first semester because of my financial situation. So Im leaving to sudy in canada because its cheaper, I applied to concordia and mcgill university for fall 2015 so im gonna miss a whole year. I was planning to leave in january before receiving the study permit to adapt to the country and the city, but I heard that theres a great risk that I will be asked to return to my country. Is it safe to go as a visitor and apply to the study permit and go to the US for a while and then return to canada to activate it ?
Im a little confused about what to do, so any answer is much appreciated.
