Visa Transfer to new Passport?

Hi,

Currently, I have manual passport bearing valid TRV and Study Permit (CANADA).

I am going to my home country and want to renew my passport to a Machine Readable Passport (MRP).

My manual passport bearing valid TRV will be attached with the newer one (MRP).

Do I need to transfer my visa from manual passport to newer one before travelling back to CANADA
or
I can enter CANADA while carrying old passport bearing valid TRV attached with the new passport?

visa on the old passport is valid even if the old passport is a cancelled one. You just need to keep both the passport handy while travelling.
