Hi guys, I was initially granted a four year student visa back in 2010 September, which was valid until 30th July 2014, now that I have just 12 credit hours left to graduate, and no summer courses available, I came to India for my summer break. I applied for the extension of my student visa on 29th April via VFS delhi, and my visa was granted on 2nd May.
The problem is, the new visa also has the same expiry date of 30th July 2014, as the previous visa. I am not able to make sense of what is the benefit behind they granting me a new visa with the same expiry date as the older one. And what should I do ? I originally had planned to return to Canada in September for the Fall Term, so should I re-apply again in Delhi asking them the reason for the same expiry date and requesting for a greater validity time so that I can graduate ? Also, has anyone ever got a new visa which has exactly the same date of expiry as the previous visa ?
Any help will be appreciated.
