VISA REJECTED - Husband's Sponsorship Outland

Another thing I noticed, someone contacted me through this forum and said same thing happened to them but the only difference was that there was misrepresentation on their case from when they applied for visit visa and had a 2 year ban. But their case processed for 2 full years to the point they were issued a visa but next day received a letter to say their visa has been cancelled due to misrepresentation and the 2 year ban. So then, why did they process the case for 2 year? Can't those 2 years count?!

There are so many loopholes in the CIC and it's like a blackhole!

With a heavy heart, I'm reporting that after 2 years of waiting, my husband's case has been rejected. Since the decision was made on the e-cas, there's no way to reopen the case. I'm left with the only option to reapply, with the wait of 29 months.

I've hired a new 'promising' lawyer after a recommendation from a fellow forum member. This new lawyer is promising the sun, the moon and everything in between. I'm left with no options but to trust another lawyer, yet again! Anyway, we are hoping to have all the documentations ready and submitted in the second week of March, although the lawyer has already take 75% of the fee to start working on it.

Does anyone know how I should get my file back from that other lawyer? He has all of my receipts, Itineraries etc...

Please keep me and my 2.5 year old daughter in your duas!

may allah give you the visa for your husband fast (Ameen)
-you have to sue the old lawyer (very important)
-just go to his place and get the forms back. He is not allowed to keep them (bylaw)
-if you have to take police with you then do it

don't leave that lawyer as such. He needs to pay for the blunder he has committed. File a case against him. he should be the one paying for all the fees to your new lawyer.

Yes - I'm going to have to go and get my case back but what if he says that everything is sent to CIC, he doesn't have anything? Then what do I do?

He'd be lying. Lawyers keep copies of EVERYTHING. That's how they protect themselves.

Make sure you sue him.
CIC would have returned your stuff to lawyer if your case is rejected. Thats what happens they send everything back.
Lawyer would have copies too. Take the police with you if you have too

The lawyer is already mad at you, I don't think he will send you. You need to march in his office, by the sounds of it. The lawyer is a very mean and rude person. How far is the distance from your city to the lawyers place

Dear friends,

I feel like the most unlucky woman on this planet as I write this to you and I feel so guilty as a parent because I let my daughter down. I wasn't able to give her a loving home that every child on this planet deserves. A father and a mother is a universal right of every child. After my husband's case was rejected few days ago, I contacted many lawyers to reapply and when finally I had paid the fees to the lawyer, and asked for documents from my husband, my husband divorced me few hours ago. He didn't even stop to think about my 2.5 year old daughter. He said he doesn't want to know me or her. He even said that I don't even need idaat time as I haven't seen him in 2 years.

May Allah make this life easy for me and bless me with a strength to give my daughter best life possible.

I don't know why Allah gave men so much power to make or break a woman's life.

I'm very sorry for all of your troubles. I hope things will start to go better in life and that you and your daughter will be truly happy. For your husband to give up so easily on you and his daughter, without so much of a discussion about it, shows what kind of a person he is.

Luckily in Canada that's not how it works. I was a single mother for 15 years until I met my second husband and my son turned out wonderfully. He's in his 3rd year of university now and is my pride and joy.

Men and women are equal here. You'll be fine. There's lots of support available and there's no reason you can't find a good job and have a great life. No one can stop you.
