For the past 6 years I have been inviting my sister who is now 73 years old to visit. I clearly indicated in my invitation letters that she is retired, will be visiting for 6 weeks, that I will be responsible for all her finances and well being while visiting. The thing is she is the eldest of all 5 siblings and now retired we take care of her. My eldest son will be getting married this August and I would like to invite her and other relatives, but I am afraid that CIC will again refused the application as before.
The last time they said she did not have enough money in the bank, which I found ridiculous. Is there any pointers that any one can give that will probably help with my letter...I am Canadian citizen, have full time job own my home and yes I pay my taxes.

I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE HER HERE TO CELEBRATE THIS SPECIAL MOMENT WITH US

What evidence did your sister include in the application to show that she has ties to her home country (property, assets, pension, etc.)? I suspect she is being refused because CIC believes she doesn't have strong enough ties to her home country and may have plans to remain in Canada long term.

She showed property papers, but like I said they said she does not have enough money in her account. You mentioned pension, she has never declared that she was receiving a pension, guess I will have her put that on her application next time

It sounds like the evidence in her application was lacking. It's very important that she include documents to prove all of her ties to her home country (property, assets, pension, immediate family, etc.).
