Hi,

I have a little concern about question: " been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?"

My previous work permit application has been refused. So in this situation I have answered it with "yes" and explained. Do I need to provide still the refusal letter as an attachment? Or the work permit application number and explanation is enough?

I would appreciate your help with this :)

Do I need to provide still the refusal letter as an attachment? NO ATTACHMENT IS NEEDED
Or the work permit application number and explanation is enough? JUST EXPLANATION WILL DO

Hi Guys,

I came across this topic, and I just realised that I have mentioned that I have not been denied a visa before in my PR application. However while I was talking to my parents, my father told me that I was once denied USA Visa when I was a minor (12 years) of age. I had just accompanied my father to the interview booth, of which I have no recollection.

Will it be an issue? should I raise a CSE?

Raise a CSE and explain but do not worry. As a minor it doesn't effect you.

I dont think it will matter as you were minor, but just in case raise CSE and let them know (no harm in doing this)

A work permit is not a VISA. The answer to the question should be NO!

now if they asked:
Has XXX ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country? Thats were you answer YES!

Hope this helps, Good luck!!

A work permit is a visa.

See link pertaining this. If you google it, you would find that it isn't

Depending on the type of work permit it can also be called a temporary resident visa.

We all have visa refusals. Don't worry about it. Good that you explained....With your UCI, they can check the letter and reason for refusal so please be as truthful as possible.

I wish Canada just had one damn sticker in passport like many other countries which serve as Visa and Permit. I hate the whole stapled paper on passport business - which is usually taken out whenever you submit your passport for anything. Which means you have to carry that paper seperately.

Hello

I have a confusion and need help from the Seniors of the Group or from people who have actually faced this scenario and have got the results ,

I have been Issued ITA and i am in the process of filling up my application form .

Twice my UK work visa was rejected , approximately 10 years back , what do I answer to these question :

Has xxx refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

&&
Has xxx ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

To my understanding rejection of any visa of any country , would mean that we should say YES to both. but not sure .

Request you all , please help here
