VISA received but no photograph on it !!! Please Help

Hi guys, I got my study permit approved and received the passport with the visa in it. But the visa doesnt have my photograph.
Is it normal to not have a photograph on a study permit visa?

Those of you who have a visa please reply.

The reason they take photos is because they put you in their system, so when you land in Canada the officer can confirm it's really you.

@kalyanphd: I applied under University category on July 31 with medicals done on July 23. Received confirmation mail on Aug 23. Do tell me if there's anything else I could help you with

Hi Vipul.
I have applied my visa under University category on 7th Aug and it reached to CHC N Delhi on 8th Aug. After that I did not hear anything from the visa office.
while applying for visa i did not submit any pre medical with my application. while I contacted VFS customer service, I was informed that medical is not mandatory for University category.
so can you help me with this situation. should I go for a medical now and submit the reports now or should I wait for the commission for medical inquiry. I am confused.... please help. Huh Huh Huh Huh

@Kalyanphd: Medical is required in almost all cases. VFS people will only tell you that its not mandatory but it is well advised to get medicals done beforehand and submit your application along with it. Otherwise it will unnecessarily delay your visa. Eventually you'll get a mail from CHC asking you to go for medicals and submit the same. Not having done medicals beforehand will delay the process by almost a month.

I'll advise you to better get yourself satisfied by taking help with others. I am not too sure if you can get it done and send it off before they ask you to. You'll be getting a mail soon from the CHC about the same.

Thank a lot bro for your suggestion. I am not so sure what to do with my medicals as i already submitted my application without medical and I am not sure how to send them now until they ask for it.
I will be going to University of Toronto. PhD Anthropology.
