Visa Processing Time

Hi All,

I in the process of applying for visa in the Skilled Worked class and heard that the visa processing time is around 2 years. I have already sent my education docs to be verified by WES and waiting for the results.

I know that from Jan 1, 2015 Express Entry is starting but in case i wanted to start my application process this year itself would it be a good idea?

I new here and tried searching for existing threads for this matter but couldn't locate it. Apologies if this is already been discussed.

U can start ur process but, to fall under FSWP, u only have a months time. If ur complete application reaches CIO, Nova Scotia by 31st December 2014, then it will be processed, elsewise u have to wait for express entry program starting from1st Jan 2015.
Dont wana give u false hope but, it takes time sometimes to get ur educational credentials verified in a month's time and also u need to give ur ielts and prepare other documents. U r left with less time.
Dont leave hope and if u can manage to gather all the documents, then send them without further delay. Meantime start gathering other supporting documents.

Thanks hseamrita. I have my ielts results ready with me and already in the process of preparing other docs. But what is the processing time if I go with FSWP?
