VISA PROCESSING TIME!!???????????? HOW LONG!?

Hello,

I applied under general category Student Visa on 12 July 2010.. Since then the status is "Passport received at Consulate General Of Canada, SCO, 54-55-56, SECTOR 17A, CHANDIGARH, Pin:160017, Tel: on 13/07/2010 and is under processing."... It's too long now.. My friends who applied last year for January Batch got their medical calls witihin week or 3-4 days after applying for VISA.. and i havent got any medical call till now!! I am going to TRU, Kamloops BC, Canada...So why is it taking too long.. i am quite worried now!!!

It's taking about 15 working days this time... So you can count and see... maybe in 2-3 days you can expect a call...

yeah today its the 15th working day !! i am expecting their call today or 2 or 3 days after this 15th working day... Hope everything goes right!!

Me to have submitted for VISA on 25th june .... @ Mumbai
still its showing me under process from last one month havent got called for medicals also
if called at VFS office no proper response ...thy just say that its taking long time kindly bee patience

Hey Rupinder

Since you have applied under General category it could take a month or maybe more to get an initial response from CHC. Applications under SPP are supposed to be processesd within 15 days but it ain't happening some are being processed faster than others and some are taking no end of time.

Guess,you should hear by 10-12 AUG.

for normal student visa first time i submitted my application at 5th June 2010 and i received my medical letter 15th July 2010
(40 days) so you should wait dont worry about anything you still have enough time

be patience and wait for the reply from embassy.......

Hi, I applied online on July 25th for a study permit under the general category. I have not yet heard back from them and I even had to defer my admit till Jan 2015. I have tried contacting CHC through e-mail, but I received no response. I heard that processing times are maximum of three weeks, but it has already been three months since I applied online! What is happening to my visa? I am really tensed that I will miss the Jan intake deadline too.

u should have not did it online ... because same happend to me in last intake for Sep .14 I applied on 12 May and got in July .21.. u should have gone with paper application I think u have time withdraw ur application and apply again through vfs with proper documents
