Does everyone need to send in new pictures with their PPR? My pictures were taken back in June 2012. I'm expecting my PPR soon, since we paid the RPRF. My question is, where in the world do you go to get these photos taken? I have called Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart. All have said they can only do regular US passport photos, which is totally NOT what I need.
HELP!!!

I don't think that you need new pictures - I wasn't asked for any. If you have sent pictures with the correct specs in your original application, I don't think that you will be asked for more.

Sometimes they will request it yes. We got that request. I don't know whats near you, but don't CALL, go in. Explain to the person there and show them the paper, they sometimes call it totally different things so calling doesn't show them what the specs are. We had to go into Shoppers and show the paper before they understood what we were talking about.

We had trouble getting Canadian immigration photos in the US. On the advice of many posters on these forums we did them ourselves using http://www.epassportphoto.com/ just choose Canada as your country and "immigration" as the photo type you want. You take the photos yourself and the program transfers them to the correct dimensions for Canada Immigration. They are then printed out at a local pharmacy of your choice in the US for pick up. It is super easy and super cheap (about $12 for a set of photos).

I have called one of the other Walgreens in my area, and they said they have a template for a French passport photo that matches the dimensions that I need (YAY!) The only problem is that they do not have a stamp to stamp the back. Can the date be hand-written on the back of the photo?

Stamp is not mandatory.
This is not a requirement as per CIC website.

Go with it.
