Visa Options while waiting for PR

Hey,

I'm Canadian sponsoring my boyfriend, we have already submitted our application via outland. We are both currently living in Australia.

I was wondering what his options were if we decided to return to Canada before he is *fingers crossed* approved.

I know he would be able to come over earlier on a tourist visa and wait it out with no job. (We do have to inform them if we do this right?)

Is there another option like a temporary work permit or bridging visa where he can work while he waits?

Hi

There is no bridging work permit option. He could have a look at IEC, though i don't know when the next round will open.

He should carry proof of the PR app and proof of finances if entering Canada as a visitor.
