I am in Canada & sponsering my spouse from India.
Which country';s visa office do we use for : Visa Office requested for the processing of your application

I found this note below on the immigration website so everyone in Canada will use Mississauga or have to choose a local one in India??

Applicants for Permanent Residence
You must select the visa office that serves your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted for at least one year.

All new Economic Class applications must first be mailed to the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.

All new Family Class applications must first be mailed to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Essentially it's both. The entire application (both sponsor and applicant) will initially be sent to Mississauga where they will determine the eligibility of the sponsor. THEN, once that is complete CIC will forward the application to the appropriate visa office abroad for processing. Writing Mississauga can cause confusion since inland applications are now being processed there too. the last thing you want to happen is having CIC mistakenly think your application is inland, not outland. So yes, you DEFINITELY want to put New Dehli as the visa office of choice.
