Visa got stamped but passport expiring

Hi guys! I have received my passport with visa stamped for the entry and with it the COPR document as well. Though the thing is that my passport is expiring in July and I am going to renew it soon.

I raised a webform and asked CIC about the situation and they said if it is a valid visa on an expired passport, please bring both passports (new one and expired) and you should be good to go. Now, my question is that the COPR document has my old passport listed which is going to expire in July. Do I need to get another COPR document with new passport number mentioned in it?

To answer your no you don't need to have your New passport number listed on your COPR document. Just carry both of your passport and the immigration officer at the landing will take care of it.
