VISA EXTENSION

hello frenz. i hv got visa for just 8 months as my course is also of 8 months only... can i change course or college when i reach there..and if the course i change is of 2 years will my visa be extended from 8 months to 2 years??

and suppose i continue my 8 month course there...what will be the concequencies?? can i still extend my visa ???plz tell me

As per what I have read elsewhere on this thread once you are there you can apply for extension and there shouldn't be any problem. But to be on the safer side apply atleast 2 months before expiry.

CIC doesn't mind if you change your course as mentioned on their website so once you change it, you can send them the application for extension mentioning the change of course from 8 months to 16 months.

Yes. Even if you would have applied for 2/3 years course from India under SPP same documents and financial capability would have been the requirement (80% thingy) so that part has been taken care of by you. You can ask for extension based on your course duration once you have chosen it, applied and received LOA post the fee payment.
