Visa Extension/Renewal

Hi,

I'm from the Philippines, I recently just traveled to Canada last December of 2019. I received my approved tourist Visa on October of that same year. I applied with both my mom and dad. However, my passport is expiring along with the visa by November of 2021. I know my chances are slim but is it true that if you request for an extension or a renewal, will it be harder for you to be approved? I heard/read stories about having their renewal or extension requests getting denied, is it always the case? I fell in love with Canada and I would love to go back there someday (Of course, after COVID is no longer existing). I estimate that I'll be back by 2023. However, my dad is now retired as well as my mom. So I think with that reason, that lowers my chances on having my visa extended or renewed. I just renewed my passport recently but my valid tourist visa is still in my old one. Below is my current status:

Age: 27 years old
Civil Status: Single
Occupation: Database Administrator
Years in said occupation: 7 years
Salary: 42,000 pesos a month (874 USD / 1,114 CAD)
Savings: 790,000 pesos (16,440 USD / 20,939 CAD)
Travel History:
* South Korea = 6 days
* Australia = 2 months
* Canada = 2 weeks

(Savings / Salary can still change and increase by 2023 if I plan to go back to Canada by that year)

I have relatives in Canada but I don't wanna stay with them. I know my status looks weak but I just wanna make sure so that I'll have a closure if I'll have a chance to be back in Canada again after the pandemic or never.

Also, about the validity of the Visa. I have a question. If the expiration says that the Visa is valid until November 20 of 2021, does it mean that I can no longer use that visa by November 20 of 2021? Or, does it mean that I can still use it by November 20 of 2021, but I should be back in the Philippines within 2 months?

Thanks,
Josh

You will be applying for a new visa - not an extension or renewal.

You can travel to Canada until November 20, 2021. How long you are allowed into Canada will be up to the CBSA officer you speak to at the border. Visitors are normally given six months but it can be shorter.

So if for example, I traveled to Canada on Nov 19, 2021, will they allow me to stay a little longer than 1 day? Apologies if my question seems stupid?
