Visa extension - Online Payment CIC not working

I am sending this week my paper application for visa extension, since yesterday i try to pay the fees on mycic but it always gives me an error (error 999 payment failed). creditcard number etc. is all right. Any ideas what could cause that error ?

to make sure we ordered now a receipt of payment (IMM 5401), i hope - for in case the online payment still fails - we will get that receipt in time ???

I'm processing my visa extension through myCIC as well and when I'm at the payment section, it gives me the same error (error 999 payment failed). Can you tell me how did you manage this stage please?

where is your credit card from? sometimes it will not take canadian credit cards.
