Hiya,

I was informed by my friend who I work with, who is Irish that he is now able to extend his visa for another year due to a change in the visa system as on January 2011. I've noticed a lot of articles related to this online, but I'm in need of any information about how I may be able to extend my visa, being from England (being British). Have the same modifications been made to UK citizens?

I need to know if I can apply for another year within Canada, and if the visa laws for UK citizens have also changed. I am employed in Canada, and if not then I can apply for a labour market opinion, which I'm just starting the process of applying for.

Any advice would be great...

You need to meet the requirements of the IEC program to get another year. See here:
