Visa advice (gap year)

I have completed my bsc in hospitality and hotel adminstration from ihm in 2014 . I worked as a chef for 3 months from june 2014- aug 2014, and then i joined my family business (drycleaning).
Now i am planning to go to canda for diploma in culinary management but the consultant is saying that since its more than one year gap and we cannot show business , as you were not doing any job . the visa will not be possible . the consultant say get some work experience letter in foodproduction field only for atleast till august 2015. Is there no way that to get visa with gap year without showing any experience ??? Plz help. Thankyou in advance .

your consultant is right, even read your university's admission criteria, hotel management, hospitality, food and beverages, baking, pastry art, requires prior work experience of one year or more, though laundry is part of hotel and hospitality management (they have in house laundry) but with some large organization would work not self employed type.

I have taken a work experience letter from a caterer for 11 months , as a cook from sep 2014 to aug 2015 . but the letter head dont have any TIN, PAN CARD NO. OR CIN NO. HOW THE CIC verify work experience in case of study visa under spp???

this sounds to be a weak approach, a desi dhaba type company may spoil your application, go for some good org.
