Hi my wife got PPR for her spousal sponsorship application on Jan 2. However, she is already inside Canada , so I have sent a webform requesting them to initiate the virtual landing process. Has anyone gone through the same process with NDVO ? Does NDVO look at webforms and respond to virtual landing requests ?

Request via IRCC. It will often take a few months.

That is very bad, does the principal applicant need to have a valid status in Canada while waiting for the P1 P2 emails ?
If she entered recently, she should have valid status as visitor. If her visitor status is about to expire, extend her stay as visitor.

In about 3 months it will expire, can I expect the P1 P2 within 3 months ? Do you know how recent trends for P1 P2 look ?

Probably but if not just apply to extend visitor status. This is why updating address as soon as possible is important and also why it doesn’t always make sense to visit Canada if very far along in the sponsorship process.

I know a few people who did the same and waited 3 to 6 months (just to get P1). If your partner has already been in Canada and when it is close to 6 months, apply for a visitor record.

Hey. How did you got everything so quick. I raised a webform in January 2026. Still waiting to hear from them. Can you please advise?
In my opinion it depends on your AOR date. If you are front in line you get processed first. Lets say X with AOR date Nov 25 got his application approved on Jan 1 and raises webform on Jan 1. Y with AOR date Nov 1 got his application approved on Jan 10 raises webform on Jan 10. Then Y gets prioritized. This is just my theory I may be wrong.
