Very Very Urgent.........Decision Made before Medical

One of our Forum member got ECAS Status on Sunday "Decision Made"......without Medical what it means....I discussed with member she told me following facts.

1. During interview VO had concerned about her past 10 year experience NOC 1233, but interview was very good and VO told her i need to review your file again....and result will be communicate with you by Eamil.....
2. From last week she could not access her ECAS status....but on Sunday she access her ECAS and status shows "Decision Made"
3. My point of concern is why on Sunday...they updated Ecas Status.......there is any change of Bug on system.....
4. As per VO she told her that she will email her.........then how its possible that they change the ECAS before email....

Any Senior Forum member.....please light on it............

Don't get upset with ECAS updates. Wait for any sort of direct communication from the visa office.

When did she attend the interview?

Mostly after Interview (if the VO satisfied after interview) the e-cas status is changed to in-process.

Hi all,
Its my case n my status was in process from d start only with line of we receievd ur application on 12 december 2011
Intervuew scheduled on 5/5/2013
and now decision made (not inprocess showing on first click as it was bfr)and another line added saying decsion has been made regarding ur application.vo will contact u reagrding this decision....

Sent vo email to confrim abt this status change no reply yet....wondering whats taking them long to send me email..my decision made status had changed on sunday...does ur vo change status or its centralised?

Im not senior but apparently it seems that application is refused if it happens after interview ......or it may a system error...........

any thing may be possible........but your friend should wait for email or keep checking e-case again and again many time it may again fall in process............

i think client code was entered in file on 22/2/2013 ,so we will get the change in ecas status after 2 days

A typical day for ECAS update is Tuesday, but not 100%. When I got Decision made, it was done on Sunday as well, but it was positive.

If the VO said, she is concerned about experience, then there must have been some issues. I had an interview for kind of same reason too. VO was happy with my interview and she said she is going to send a letter in a week to 10 days about what is next. I waited 6 months and heard nothing. Ordered CAIPS notes and found out that she was still not satisfied with my work experience and for some reason my past employer was unable to satisfy her in terms that it has been a long time i worked and left that job and he hardly remembered what I was doing with him. This put VO in doubt that I ever worked there. BUT fortunately, VO asked for a clarification and I wrote them a letter stating what happened (As I read her notes in the CAIPS and understood what would have happened). The letter I wrote was enough for her to be convinced and grant me visa but before proceeding to a decision she referred my case to another VO who had to take the final decision. It was positive and I am in Canada now for almost 2 years.

It is not necessary that they write an email to everyone about their file since Ecas is meant to show the status of the application. Wait for an official letter in mail (not email) to come and see what is going on or has happened.

Decision made right after an interview without medicals and PP request is, unfortunately, refusal but I would still suggest waiting before making out any interpretations.
