I applied in 2009 and me and my wife got visa in May 2010.
I alone landed in Canada in September. My wife was not pragnant at the time of Medical but she was preganant at the time of visa. In the start, we decided that we will have new baby in Canada but later, doctor advised us that my wife should not travel due to some medical problems with her preganancy.
Now, I have a son. I am in Canada, my wife has already visa.
Can my wife come to Canada and mean while, when my son will be with my parents, we sponsor my son?
Is this approach right or it can make any problem?
I met with a lawyer and he said that CIC can revoke my PR card and can cancel my wife visa becoz we did not inform CIC about the pragnancy of my wife. As far as I know, CIC is only interested if we have new child and they are not intersted if some one's wife is preganant or not?
Please adivse us as we are in great tension.
Thanks for any adivse in advance.

If the son was born after you became a PR, then it's not a problem. If the son was born before you became a PR, then you should have informed CIC about the new son before you landed.

When was your son born, and when does your wife's PR visa expire?

If your wife's PR visa has already expired, you will need to sponsor her and your dependent child, together, using this application kit:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

If your wife's PR visa has not yet expired, the best thing to do would be to inform the embassy. They may be able to add the son to the existing application, but I'm not sure if they can do that after the principal applicant (you) has already landed. If not, they will advise the best course of action. I think there are 3 possibilities, though:

1. Your wife could travel to Canada, land as a PR, and immediately return to look after your son while you sponsor him (using the same application kit as above). That would mean your wife is able to use her PR visa before it runs out. Once your son's PR visa is issued, your wife would return to Canada with him, and he would become a PR.

2. The embassy could issue a temporary residence permit enabling the son to travel to Canada with your wife. Your wife would then become a PR, and you would apply to sponsor your son from within Canada (while technically he is there as a visitor).

3. Your wife could travel to Canada, and you could sponsor your son while he waits with your parents. Obviously that's not ideal, as you'd have to separate the young child from his mother.

Thanks alot for your reply.

My son was born after my landing. My wife visa will expire in Dec 2010 (medical expires).
I will try to use the option 1 which you said, otherwise, as a last resort, we will go for 3rd option of your post.

Atleast, from your post, one thing is clear that what lawyer told me was wrong. We were not supposed to inform CIC about the pragnancy.

Thanks alot for your help.
