hi ,
if a masters student after two years of studying in one school(without completing the program requirements) decides to switch universities (withdrawn from first one -in good academic standing) and move to other university.and she can complete the rest of the studies within 2 terms in the other school.
will she get 3 years PGWP? (since she would complete the degree in total of 2 years +8 months)
please help its really urgent

1. University mostly doesn't allow completion of 2 years degree in 2 semesters.
2. PGWP is awarded based on the standard time of your course. The word "official length of your program of study" is used on CIC web. Say if the course is 1 year's duration and you complete it in 2 years even then you will get PGWP of 1 year and Vice versa.

Also note that if you don't get the degree / certificate of your studies form the first university, it will not be counted towards your PGWP.

Quote:
a. "You must have completed and passed the program of study and received a notification that you are eligible to obtain your degree, diploma or certificate.
b. You must have a valid study permit when you apply for the work permit."

P.S. The person you tagged in your post is not PPM in fact he is PMM :)
