Hi all i am sponsoring my spouse in iraq and its an outland sponsorship and after i applied i came back to iraq and on my forms it says that im staying in canada and he has done his bio and medical all ready and we are waiting now my lawyer says its better to go back to canada because if they find out our application may be refused ??? What do i doo??

If you are a Canadian citizen, you can sponsor from outside Canada.
However, if you are a Canadian Permanent Resident, you must be living physically in Canada or the sponsorship will fail. So, if you are a PR, go back to Canada immediately and stay there until the whole of the application process is completed

I myself am a canadian citizen but i have applied as if im staying in canada if they find out about this will this be an issue?
