Very important I need advise

Recently I did my new passport as because my old passport expired.
But my PR application and approved was by old passport ( 2015 )
I mean in CIC record they have my old passport number

As I did new passport do i need to tell CIC

or

I do not have to do that.

Have you already landed and are you therefore a PR then answer is no .If you still have the old passport keep it safe with any PR documentation for future reference ?

There is no need to notify the CIC of your new passport number. As long as the name on your PR card and new passport is the same, you won't have any problems. Your PR card is linked to your old passport, and when you renew your PR card, it will be linked to your new passport. I would just keep your old passport when you cross the border just to be sure.
