Very confused on forms: 5481 AND 5540

Hi there,

I am a Canadian Citizen trying to fill out applications to sponsor my spouse (no children from either of us)

Now I am filling out this 5481 form, and it says Number of family members and persons included in undertakings in effect and not yet in effect:

it says: 4. yourself 1
and for 5A. Current undertaking, do I put 1 (for my husband) or 2 (for my husband and me)?
because it then tells us in brackets to (number of persons included in box #3 of the Generic Application form for Canada IMM 0008, under section, application details)
Because if I go to this 0008 form, in question three, it asks me how many people are involved in this undertaking and including yourself, so i put 2 (for me and my husband)

but for me, it doesnt make sense to include myself in question 5A because i already checked myself in question 4.

Then question 7 tells me to add the total persons in questions 4,5 and 6...

so that means I have to write 3 in the total because in question 4 i put 1, in question 5 i put 2. Does this make sense to anyone, please explain!!



also my second question about form: 5540

Question 7: asks for my current employment information and my past,

so if i am working currently at a place, what "end date" do i make in the end date section? I did not "end" this job as I am currently working there... strange!!! someone please tell me what to do!

Also, it is asking for Employer, given name, complete address and phone number for each employer...now are they asking for my employers HOME address? Or the address of the place that i worked? Because I saw in the 5481 form, it literally says "employer address" not Work address, so which one do I put??? My work address or my employers home address? (this question is for both froms 5481 and 5540)

I hope these questions were not confusing and I hope someone can help me as soon as possible,

p./s if i dont remember the monthly income i made at a job 3 years , what should i write ?

1. You are NOT included in the undertaking. You are GIVING the undertaking to sponsor your spouse. So, he is 1 in 5A, you are 1 in 4, so the total number of persons is 2. In the IMM008, the people involved in the undertaking is 1, meaning your husband.

2. It means your employer's WORK address, because they want to know where YOU were working, not where your employer lives.

but question 3 in the 0008 form says , how many family members, including you are in this application? so then the answer would be 2 no? and inthe 5A question it says to basically make it the same answer as the 0008 form question 3.
