Vegreville Case Processing Centre and PAFSO strike

Hello everyone!

Would anyone happen to know if the PAFSO strike is affecting the processing times of applications submitted to the Vegreville Case Processing Centre? Any information would be highly appreciated. I have tried to find the answer to this question but no luck. Someone posed a similar question to PAFSO's Facebook page but no answer was granted. Thank you!

From what I've heard, CIC staff are being shuffled over to the work of the striking PAFSO employees (so visitor/temporary visas, etc). So it could impact PR applications indirectly by pulling body count away from processing our applications. But people seem to still be making progress through the system, so that's hopeful.

There are no PAFSO members at Vegreville, they are members of PSAC which is not on strike.
