Vancouver, Surrey & Fraser Valley applicants

Discussion in 'Citizenship' started by SRIS, Jan 15, 2019.

  1. Hi,

I have observed that once IRCC -Sydney office completes their portion of work on citizenship application which is issuing AOR & IP then the processing it done by local offices. After this stage the applications from different regions follow different timelines based on workload of local offices. This makes treads based on a particular months applicants which track processing timelines not very effective.

In light of this, I suggest that a processing tread is formed according to geography rather than month. I am an August 2018 applicant from Surrey. I would request other applicants from Vancouver and Lower Mainland who had applied in other months to share their timelines. This will allow us to better predict our processing.

    I'll start with my timeline:
    ID: SRIS
    Location: Surrey
    App. Type: Family (4)
    Physical Presence Days: 1177
    App. Sent: Aug 22, 2018
    App. Received Aug 27, 2018
    AOR: 07 Nov 2018
    IP: 20 Nov 2018
  2. Location: Surrey
    App. Type: Family (4)
    App. Received June 28, 2018
    IP: Sep13 2018
  3. Location: Richmond
    App. Type: Single
    App. Received Oct 12, 2018
    AOR : Dec 31, 2018
    IP: Jan 11, 2019

On the spread sheet you can filter it by selecting the location you would like to see.
Also on the lower bar you could see the data by different province/regions/ month, it gives you a pretty good idea of the general processing time geographically to predict. Honestly I think the current spreadsheet is really great.

  5. I am
i am Kamloops applicant . Your timeline is almost like mine.
  6. What is the best number to contact Vancouver CIC ?
    Please update my status:
    Application received: August 27
    AOR: November 15
    In process: November 28
    CIC : Vancouver
    Physical presence:1501
    FP request: December 6
FP received according to Canada post: January 4
    Waiting for test invite.
How long does it take to get my test invite in my case ?
I am family person of two.
  7. There are 2 IRCC office to my knowledge which process citizenship applications in BC. One is in Vancouver and the other in Surrey. There are many other temporary offices across the province in which tests/interviews and ceremonies etc are carried out. I do not know if your local office, which will process your families application, is the Surrey or Vancouver.
  8. It’s Vancouver office Coz I sent out my fingerprint to them by mail.
  9. the visa office for chilliwack BC would be surrey or vancouver or is there third office ?
  10. I live in Abbotsford and my visa office is Surrey.

I applied in August 2018. It seems from past cases of Surrey applicants that I should get a test/interview letter in April for a test date in May 2019.
  12. Location: White Rock
    Cic: Surrey
App.type: single Physical Presence Days: 1828

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 20, 2018.

2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 26, 2018.

3.We started processing your application on October 6, 2018.
  13. Please do update this tread when you have an update on your application. It will help other applicants from Surrey to estimate their processing.

Hey sris. Yes of course I will keep you all informed . In December i called up Cic to inquire about my application and the agent told me that all the background/security checks were done and I've cleared them . He told me it's just waiting now for the Surrey cic office to start sending the test invites
  15. Any update?? Happy Snow ❄️ though
