Just coming here to say my application is still "In Progress". Almost 2 months since the test was completed.

AOR: August 28, 2020
In Process: November 3, 2020

It is starting to get really demoralizing to just wait with no information. My mother is quite ill abroad and my lawyer advised me against travelling before I get a Canadian passport. I submitted an urgent processing request to IRCC, but they do not seem to care....

Any new test invites?
This forum member "simfhs" claims he got his test invite from Vancouver today.

His timeline is as follows:
Application sent: Dec 04 2020
AOR email: Jan 25, 2021
FP request: Feb 16, 2021
City: Vancouver

If this is true, it's absolutely crazy that applicants who applied more than 12 months after us are getting their test invites!

Here it is:

That's good for them but so bad on CIC's part to keep people waiting, I am not sure what is the hold up for inviting people for tests if they are already past IN process stage at this point everyone should be the same whether an online application or by mail.
It seems multiple people are getting test invites, and most of them got AOR this month, I guess we just have to keep waiting

Btw, I am also a December 2019 applicant, waiting for a test invite...

Did you have a previously scheduled test that was cancelled early last year?

What do you guys think of the following: in 2 weeks it’s a 1 year anniversary of CIC processing my application (timeline in my signature). I’m going to take a day off and stand in front of their building in Downtown Vancouver and I’ll try to talk to every person entering/leaving the buidling trying to ask them why it’s taking so long. They work from 8am to 4pm.

I’m seriously desparate and it’s affecting my life!

I posted this to another thread on this forum however it's regarding Vancouver office so I also wanted to post it here (I hope it won't be deleted as a duplicate post).

Today, I called CIC and heard nothing else than "covid"...."sorry"..."be patient"..."they last touched your application in July 2020"..."wait"...

The agent then sent me a feedback form to fill and this is what I said:

"Hi

I fully understand there is COVID however it can no longer be used as an excuse for your processing speed at Vancouver office. You've had my citizenship application for more than a year and Vancouver office hasn't done any work on it since 07/2020 while people who submitted online citizenship applications in 12/2020 are now receiving their online citizenship test and this whole situation is very, very unfair of CIC, especially Vancouver office which is one of the slowest in Canada in comparison to other CIC offices.

Please reconsider how you deal with online applications vs older paper applications.

You received my application on 12/2019, Acknowledge of Receipt was sent in 02/2020 and you started processing it in 03/2020 however I still haven't heard back. I have submitted multiple web forms and called multiple times however nothing has changed.

I'm sorry for this feedback form but this whole situation is seriously affecting my life and I need to resolve it soon.

Thank you"

The feedback form is here: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx in case anybody else wants to fill it out.

I think there needs to be more pressure put at Vancouver office.

I also told the agent that I'm going to go visit the office today around lunch time to see if anybody walks in and out and she called the Vancouver office and mentioned this to them. I did not treat them or anything like that but I asked to make an in-person appointment. Obviously I couldn't schedule any but maybe they actually at least find my file again? Since it's been sitting in their storage archive from July 2020.
