Hi, guys !!! I heard even if you inform CIC that I want to stay there in Canada for like 1 month, they stamp visitor visa valid for 6 month, Is this so ????? Validity of visitor visa depends on CBSA officers at port of entry or CIC office where you apply from ??? Actually, I am applying for visitor visa for my spouse and my consultant told me that even if you show 1 month, you will get visa valid for 6 month !!!! Is he right ?

Because i ask this question too to someone then she said that its effective six monthsYes it is true.... the visa usually is valid till six months from the date you enter the country. your valid exit date is actually stamped on your passport by the visa officer at the border or immigration section. So if you came to canada on the 21st of sep, you are most likely to get a valid stamp till the 20th of March....
