Hi there,

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
We received our COPR with an expiry date of 29 March. My family members(wife and 2 kids) will not be able to travel to Canda before that date. Will I be able to validate all of them myself or must they be present?

Thank you in advance.

If you are the primary applicant then you land first or without them. If you / they are unable to travel before the expiry, you / they have to inform CIC and surrender your COPR.

They don't need to surrender the COPR. It automatically becomes void after the expiry date. Those who can't land in Canada by that date, will need to start as applicants from the very beginning, probably under Family Class Sponsorship. If the primary applicant doesn't land by that date, the whole application was a waste of time.
