My wife clicked validate on the PDF document before we could finish it. What happens ?
There's bar codes on the last page.

That's ok....Just keep continue entering the information once completed then press Validate. It will generate all bar codes again

I did the same PatrickD and was wondering what those black bars are and if that`s an error, I was told:

That barcode sheet is needed! Put it in front of the immigration forms when you package your application together, this is required by CIC.

Which documents do I validate first, the sponsorship or the immigration?

It doesn't matter which you validate first. Just make sure they're both validated.
