Valid PGWP - mistake in my marital status/family information

I realized that when I applied for my PGWP, I apparently should have declared my boyfriend - who is a Canadian citizen - as my common-law partner in my family information. My PGWP was approved but I have since learned that since we live together, we are considered common law under Canadian law even though he has nothing to do with my immigration status which is only based on my education. We also live very financially independent lives and even have separate lease agreements so our common-law relationship isn't easy to prove. I seems that I need to declare it anyway? What happens if I declare it but then can't prove it? We are now reporting to CRA as common-law and I'm terrified that this mistake will become an issue down the line when I apply for PR. Please help - what should I do?
