Hi everyone,
I have worked for 12 months and have extended my work with the same employer for another 12 months (until July 2023). Can I use this job offer as the valid job offer required in my express entry profile? My understanding is that I cannot use it since it is less than 12 months from the time that the PR will be issued, given that PR will be issued within 2022. Thank you for responding.

What kind of work permit do you hold?

Closed work permit.

You need to provide full details. Again, what kind of work permit? ICT? Closed work permit that is LMIA based? Something else that's LMIA exempt?

I have a closed work permit, LMIA exempt as a postdoc. I have worked for one year (July 2021-22) and get it extended for another 12 months until July 2023. Thank you for your reply.

Since you are LMIA exempt, you need a letter from your employer stating that they will continue to employ you for a year after you get PR (if you want to claim the 50 job offer points).

Is this always the case (for non exempt)? If you have 2 WPs, one closed with LMIA and one PGWP, do you still need to be employed with the same company one year after CEC PR (w/ 50 LMIA Pts)? If you leave, does PR get revoked?

Since I work in Montreal, I think I'd better off looking for an offer outside QC. Thanks for your help.
