Has anyone had the experience of sending their passport to the New York VAC? Was it as quick as they say or not? I'm waiting for the Ecopr and I'm going to have to send it and I'm a little worried! Can I go in person? If so, will I receive it on the same day?

It is never same day, the VAC just collects the package, confirms it's correct etc., and then sends on to the consulate/visa office (which might actually be done in Canada).
