My case was considered "recommended passed" by the primary visa officer, on July 11st, it transferred to another visa officer... Just wonder usually how long does it take for second visa officer to review the case... Anyone knows?

How Long is a piece of string?

Nicole dear.. Just a piece of advise.. Now is a very great time for u to gather all your patience in waiting for your application.. Also, stop yourself from asking questions that would make others think less of you as a person and I wouldn't be surprised that there will come a point you'd be offended to find that u have become a joke around here.

Just keep your cool.

you may wanna read my post again.. it was an honest advise.

being rude definitely isn't my style. however, a person who uses the A-word, I believe, is.

;)

If u applied in aug last year, u will start panic like me...

This is rude, irrespective of what you say. And saying it as far as I'm concerned makes you an ass.

Nicole please check the August 2012 spreadsheet - approx half of medical requests have been received so lots of people are in the same boat as you.

By the way - does it actually say in your gcms notes that a review is required? You have recommend pass - I don't see what there is wrong with that

And where has panicking got you? No where - you can't control this so work how you're going to distract yourself or your next steps to reapply IF you get rejected. Turn this into something proactive rather than reactive

Hey, thanks for saying that for me....

Hey... as I am gonna change job next month, so I want to have at least something in my hand before I change the job.. also, I did check other visa process website, like trackkit and Yorkbbs, a Chinese one, most people in August got medical and even some landed in Canada already.. therefore I started to get worried...
in my note, it said recommended passed, but on. July 11st, it transferred to another vo.. so I don't know what. That means now..

The same thing here in this forum, majority of august applicant got MR. The reason why some are still waiting is because of the strike. BTW, Nicole, how do u know that 'recommend passed`` is not a good sign ??? ???

Also if ur case says review required, it is entirely different thing all together than those that didn't say such thing ::) ::)

I did not say "recommended passed" is not a good sign... But at the same time, the junior vo can not decided the case for some reasons, that is why they put recommended passed... However, I heard from a agency, most recommended passed case will be passed... But there is exception...
My note did not say review required, but I know it got transfer to another vo on July 11st.... But I don't know what reason is that... Hopefully I can hear something positive by the end of this month...

@ nicole1006, it may help to ask yourself these questions:
1. what is the worse that could happen? Rejection. Not death.
2. what can I do about my situation now? Nothing, except go about my daily activities and be proactive by putting together a new application(just in case).
3. what will happen if I am rejected? I will be disappointed but I can re-apply. I can get a lawyer to assist me.
4. what if I'm worrying about something that has not happened and may not happen? Time to focus on things I have control over such as my health, work, personal relationships.

There will be plenty of time to worry if you are rejected, so why pay the price now for something that may not even come to pass? Faith and fear both ask us to believe that something will come to pass - the choice of that "something" is ours to make, so why not choose faith(i.e. believe your application will be successful)?

Another thing to remember, each application is unique so do not expect to be at the same point as other August applicants. There are other factors to consider such as the strike, officers could be on vacation, background checks, etc. A medical exam will be required, and all this worrying could be detrimental to your health.
