Anyone else tried using a prepaid card here instead of your credit card? My credit card from back home was charging me expensive fees and I recently started using the Angry Birds Paymobile prepaid card and it's so much better!!! What are you guys using?? 8)

well, if you are new in Canada and a student too..its a good idea to open up a free student account with a canadian bank

Yes.. Scotiabank does that..
open up an account..

by the way I have used my Citibank credit card internationally but no such extra fees was levied..
:P :P :P

Have even used their debit card and still no fees..

wich bank r u ?

It is surprising , city bank India is not charging for credit card.

city bank told me they will charge 5% extra for every transaction made even hdfc..

even if you are using your debit or credit card without any charges, its good to open up an account with a bank here.. because who knows the policies of these banks....what if they charge you quarterly or something with a huge tax and intrest..i dont know about oversees debit and credit cards..i am saying this cuz i had bad experience with many banks..
