Used Priority mail for return of Passports.. any Issues?

I intended to send Passports in Priority mail and using Express mail envelope for return.. But my Friend who mailed passports for me..have done it other wise..and ended up sending them in Expressmail and sending a Priority envelope for return.

Would that be an Issue? Does CIC send them back in the same cover that has tracking number or will it send them by regular mail?

Or Can I send an Other Express Envelope seperately quoting my UCI?

Don't worry. They'll use the priority post for return. As long as it is canadapost, you're fine.

Thanks Eds for reply. Even I hope the same. Wish some one who has got their passports through Prioritymail can second that. If it works out why is it that every one use return envelops via Priority mail? So just trying to figure out what we assume is right?

Search the forum - I remember seeing couple of posts where they got passports back with priority envelope.

I did..but couldn't find any one.. except one post from Seton where he mentioned that he did send Priority envelope..but haven't mentioned anything about how he got back his Passports after that.

I am guessing this is at a later stage (passport req)? I don't have to send an return envelope with my package when applying for CEC... only two self-addressed mailing labels - correct?

@EDS...I have seen that mail..looks like it was an other kind of issue altogether..Priority mail has few resstrictions that were in force..like mails after 5.00 pm won't be accepted by Canadapost.. If CIC just preferred Expressmail over Priority just to save some money from Applicants pocket ...it is fine..but if there are other reasons ..? thats where exactly I am struck in..

I used FedEx priority return envelop. Do you they send my passport through the envelop sent?

No need to send kavaanan. As long as its canadapost, its fine. Else regular mail will be chosen by them without tracking.

They'll not use fedEx.

Your passport will be returned in regular canadapost mail.

I used FedEx priority return envelop. Do you they send my passport through the envelop sent?
