USA to Canada via plane without PR card

Hi everyone, I have a question about traveling without PR card & only eCOPR.

I’m us citizen and I have to travel to the US for work next week. I have to fly as required by my work (they don’t want me traveling in my personal vehicle)

Can I board a flight back to Canada with just my US passport and ECOPR?

I know I can cross land border via car, but sadly that’s not an option. I don’t think I’ll get my PR card in time either.

Just use your US passport.

To be clear: permanent residents need PR cards to board a flight to Canada.

Except US citizens- htey're an exception to this rule. So you're ok. Don't talk to the airline about your PR status, they're not always clear on this distinction.
