USA background check, how do you know if they accepted it!?

my spousal application is in process. can they ask for fbi check again saying it got expire ?

One year and yes they can ask for FBI clearance again.

If you submit them within 3 months if issuing, they will last 1 year. If you don't submit them within 3 months, they will expire and you need to have them redone. If there's no movement in your file for 1 year, the embassy can ask you to get another check.

Total FBI Processing time 5 weeks. Total end to end /w delivery via FedEx international priority: 6 weeks

Hi hongkongguy,

If I remember correctly, you mentioned you didn't send a prepaid FedEx return envelope with your initial application. If so, this could be the reason why mine got to me sooner. Regular mail takes longer than the 5 days it took FedEx.

The FedEx priority envelope that was sent to me looked like this:

Inside it was the regular "snail mail" variety of envelope with a clear window in front which looked like this (obviously letter has been removed):
