USA background check, how do you know if they accepted it!?

My Background Check App/Fingerprints arrived at the FBI last week, yet they still have no taken the money out of my account (I filled out a credit card order). How long does it take before they start processing it?

I sent in 3 copies of the fingerprint form to just make sure that everything was readable.

They won't charge you until they actually check your fingerprints which won't be for probably at least 6 weeks. Once you see a charge it will probably be a week or so until you get the letter in the mail. Good job sending 3 sets of prints, that is smart.

Hm. I think I might call them just to double check. I have a feeling it's going to get to the point where I'm going to have my whole application done (MED included)... but I won't have my FBI background check! I know they're not going to find anything. Hahaha.

The FBI report is the biggest pain cause it takes so long. It took 8 weeks for us to get it.

Well, I have 7 before I'm going to Canada.... and if I get it after that, my parents can always mail it that way. Have you received PR yet? How long did it take you?

Yes. The app was just sent to Mexico after 85 days.

For your information, I sent my application to FBI from Hong Kong by speedpost at the end of April and the postman tried to deliver it on May 1, but it was unsuccessful. Then, when I tracked the package again, it was delievered to them on May 2. Then, after 2 weeks, I tried to call FBI and see if they have received the package in proper order and the woman told me that my application won't be on the system unless it has been sent to them at least 4 weeks. Shortly after, when I checked my credit card bill, they charged my credit card on May 17. I hope that they will be mailing it to me soon. Just for sharing!

It looks like we're on very similar schedules. I send my application in on the 5th of May and it was delivered on the 8th. Now, 2 weeks later (24th) I just had my CC charged. Do let me know when you receive your response; it would mean mine's just a week away!

Sure, I will let you know as soon as I have received it. But it may take a while for them to mail it to me as I am located in Hong Kong. Cheers

Ah! I'm in Saudi Arabia, but I did send a prepaid FedEx envelope with my application which should get it to me within a week of completion. If I get it on my end, will let you know as well!

Hey! Still waiting as well. The fedex envelope I sent has yet to be used. It's been 6 weeks so far, so officially it should be max another 2 before anything should happen...
