US Visut when on implied status

Hello,

I applied for through Express Entry with provincial nomination in March 2017. My file is still in process. My post graduate work visa just expired and I have sent in an extension request. I don't have a US Visa.

My family is visiting US from Canada on September for a week for a wedding. My family members are all Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Is there any chance of me getting a US Visa by then?

Assume you know that a PGWP cannot be extended unless was issued short due to passport expiry. Plus in any case would be wary of leaving the country under any sort of implied status.
