US Visa from OTTAWA

hi friend,
i want to apply for US visa in person at OTTAWA and is it possible to have Visa issued on same day?
Please tell me the whole process....

This has nothing to do with CEC, however I remember I left my passport with them and they mailed it back to me two weeks later with the visa. The thing that takes a lot of time is the appointment. It's hard to find one.
