US visa from Canada or Pakistan

Hi,

I have just got immigration and I will visit Canada in March 2015 for a month and then I will come back to Pakistan. During my stay in Canada I want to visit US for 2-3 days. What do you suggest where should I apply for US visa Pakistan or Canada?

You need to get US visa from Pakistan , US consulate will not issue you visa from Canada , until you have PR card , and have been living there for 6 months.

If you feel you can get one from Canada , try your luck. Inform this forum so this can help others too

Apply for US VISA from Pakistan. Then tell in the VISA interview that you will be in Canada and would want to visit, Chicago, or something.

You have to be in Canada for a considerable length to apply for US Visa. I am not saying that you cannot apply for it, but the window you have pointed out is very small and you do not want to raise an eyebrow there. US immigration officer might see this as Launchpad into US, hence may be more careful about your application. If rejected, for a tourist visa, your subsequent Visa(s) will be under scrutiny.
