Thanks guys! So I have a new passport with no stamp or visa in it and 2 other passports with stamps and visas. Do I then include the stamped pages from my 2 old passports? Or just the last one that has US visas? My last visa had expired, so I guess it's better to include the approval notice for the change of status and also my I-94. Do I need to do that for my spouse's passport too? I am the PA, he is out of the US. Does anyone have a situation like mine, whose spouse live in a different country?
I had the same situation as yours. I scanned the bio pages of my new passport and from the old passport the valid visa, I-94 and employment authorization. I would advise you to scan the bio pages from your new passport and also add the expired visa, I-94 and the approval letter available with you.

No need to do it for your spouse. You just need your spouse's bio pages from a valid passport.

I uploaded the bio page only with the application and got the ppr last week. I think just upload what they asked you to upload which is the bio pages.
Hi ogbg, congrats on your PPR! can you share what visa you are on in the US? And if you had a unexpired visa or just your I-94? I know they should be a way they can check US database for one's status with your passport details.

Hello guys. Would any of you who have successfully landed share your experience of looking for a job in Canada? Would education and work experience in the US be of any benefit? I've heard people saying they have difficulty finding a job with their foreign work experience because many employers care about Canadian experience. I'm just wondering if US experience makes a difference? Thanks!

I would be interested in knowing this too. My guess is that US education and experience will be more relevant/recognized than any other place, since US is supposedly more advanced/superior to Canada...my thoughts anywayz. I applied for jobs in my office's Canadian locations and I got phone interviews the next day, I would probably would have gotten an offer but they wanted me to get my PR first, they didn't say it like that though, but a friend that also applied got an offer right away because she has her PR already.

Thank you. The visa is student visa. My visa is valid and never had an expired visa. Good luck.

Ok, thanks. What is your timeline like? How long did it take to get your PPR?

Wow! That was fast, more like they were waiting for your FBI report. I wish for a quick one too. Congrats again, wishing you a happy landing. Thanks for sharing. My deadline is on the 24th, I hope to receive my FBI report next week, then I can submit. Thanks again

Indeed a great forum to get a good grasp on the happenings.

Hey "OGBG" - Even I am residing in the US on F-1 and plan to apply through EE for Canadian PR on 7th May 2016. Given that I have a good score and assuming I get the ITA, lets say on 15th May, I'll have 60 days to apply for FBI PCC and then submit it to the CIC. Do you think FBI will provide us with a certificate in 60 days? and how about PCC from India? Do you mind detailing out the procedure for both countries? I have gone through the websites and but I am not clear with certain aspects of the information. Would appreciate your help! Thanks.

Regarding FBI PCC you should apply now, do not wait until you receive the ITA. The FBI PCC will take 4 months.
Regarding PCC from India, I do not have any information about it since I am not Indian.
Good luck

Is there any Indian out here; based out of US and applying for PR?

Would you happen to have any recommendations for the best way to apply for Indian PPC? Does applying to an Indian embassy suffice or is there any laid out procedure. Any details are appreciated. Thanks!

If you are not residing in India, you will only need a PCC form the Indian embassy <http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp>

Since you are in the US, figure out which embassy caters to the state you live in.

The Consulate General of India, New York serves the residents of the following ten states of the USA: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

If you are in a state not mentioned here, check which Consulate servers your area.

For NY the form and the instructions are available here: http://www.indiacgny.org/pages.php?id=77

Fill the form and send it with the required fee, passport and the form. You will get the PCC within 7-10 days. They are pretty quick.

Hope this helps.
