After I moved from US to Canada, I ordered a police certificate (Identity History Summary: https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help...d-information/identity-history-summary-checks) and I haven't been to US since. And the certificate is more than 1 year old, now I'm applying for PR via spousal sponsorship.
My question is, do I need to order a new copy of police certificate?
My understand from reading other threads is, I don't need to order a new copy since the certificate was issued after my last visit. However I couldn't find any explicit info on this area for family class application.
Application instruction: "Police certificates are generally valid for 1 year from the date they’re issued. " https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ponsorship/spouse-partner-children/apply.html
What I also checked. It's well spelt out for EE applications. But not for family class: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...services/application/medical-police/when.html
