Hi All,

Congrats to all who became eligible to apply for Citizenship and Best of luck to all who applied already. I have a question about the below scenario. Please reply if you can.

Came to Canada on student visa - July 2011
Became PR - Sept 2015

Dates known for US entries -> From May 2014 to present
Dates unknown -> Before May 2014

I used to visit my brother in US on every alternate weekend.

I don't have details of the US entries i made prior to May 2014 and in the form i supposed to enter dates from Oct 2012. I am pretty sure that i am eligible for Citizenship as i have enough residency requirement but dates are unknown. On CBSA website they say do not request travel history for citizenship as they can find themselves. Please guide me if request for travel document or should i send them my consent to check anywhere they want to for verifying my eligibility.

Thanks in advance

Get border reports of your trips: (1) ATIP from CBSA (Canada) and (2) FOIA from CBP (USA). Once you have the two reports, use them to populate the residence calculator.

Your question is answered in the FAQ of the residency calculator: List your trips to the best of your knowledge/estimate.
