I got a status of "Pending Consular Authorization" for my interview waiver. Is this new? The status says it could take up to 5 weeks. Since I'm already in Canada I only have 6 weeks. Is it even possible to look for interview appointments or at another consulate if this is only for Toronto?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to do a Dropbox submission for B1/B2 renewal from Vancouver. I have a few questions based on your recent experiences.

1. What was the timeline from dropping off documents to receiving the passport back?
2. How did you pack the documents? Is a simple clear file/folder enough to protect them?
3. For submitting the documents, can we use any courier service like Canada Post or UPS, or should we drop them off at BLS and collect them from there?

Any tips or advice based on your 2025 experiences would be greatly appreciated
