Me and my wife applied for Canada PR earlier in the year and it was approved with our TRVs valid till mid-December - we still haven't completed our soft landing yet owing to how close to delivery we received our TRVs. In September, we had our baby - born in the US. He was not part of our initial application - he was not even born at that stage. We reached out to the Web Forum multiple times asking if we're good to travel to Canada with the baby and the responses are very vague and confusing.
Digging through various forums, read somewhere that if the baby was born after our PR application was approved and before we did a soft landing, our PR application stands void. Is that correct? Are there no options to redeem this application? Or can we travel with him to Canada and initiate his PR sponsorship and come back to US once every few months?

you need to add your son in your PR application and he will needed to pass medical and security (likely not much for a baby).
Then you will be re-issue NEW COPR.

Do not land now, because if you do, you can NEVER sponsor for his PR.

Thank you for your responses. Please find below the update from CIC:

"Since a final decision was already made on your application, the information you provided will not be added to your file.
If applicable, we invite you to include this information when you submit a new application."

Does it mean that we will have to go through the whole process of applying for the lottery and submit an application for all of us including our son? I apologize for asking stupid questions. When they say new, I am not sure if it's new for all of us or just for the baby and thus the confusion.

With so much uncertainty, we will definitely not be doing the softlanding.

You need to re-submit the webform. Tell them there has been a change to the family composition and you need the COPR updated.

When you applied, did you tell IRCC that your wife was pregnant? Did she undergo medical screening, including x-ray, while pregnant?

She was not pregnant at the time of the medical or X-Ray.
We missed updating CIC in April when they reached out to us about our Approval. In June, after we received our TRV stamped on our passport, I reached out to CIC telling them we're pregnant and their response was very vague and non-helpful.

No. It means that they didn't understand. Submit another Webform marked urgent and inform them that you have not landed and are required to add your child to your existing PR app.

Do not land on your current COPRs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. After multiple emails and web-forms, they have finally re-opened our application to include our son to it. We have to get his medical checkup, fill-out a couple of forms and attach his passport and birth certificate. We have to also send back our COPR and they will re-issue a new one.
